FUN DAY OUTING AT FUN FACTORY & AGODI GARDENS IBADAN
2010

On th 8th day of May 2010, Call to Love had a fun filled day with the children from the Chesire Home in Ibadn. Thepurpose of the outing was to give them exposure to their environment beyond the four walls of the Home they are used to. We showed love and encouraged them to aspire to be great in life irrespective of their background. Indeed the outing brought out true colours of these children.

Many thanks to the dedicated women from Harvest Christain center who took time out to be part of this outing.

FUN DAY OUTING AT KURAMO BEACH
2011

The beach is generally known as a place to relax by the ocean side, enjoy the freshness of the air, relish the delicacies that the massive water has to offer, ride horses and have fun. For many others, the beach has become not only a means of livelihood but also an abode.

A visit to the famous Kuramo Beach in Lagos confirmed this. The beach has over the years been known to attract vulnerable and displaced children from different states in the country; with different stories of how they got to be a resident in the ‘no-man’s land’ they end up scavenging, begging on streets, doing menial jobs, smoking cigarettes/hemp and exposed to all kinds of challenges and abuses that hinders their potentials of becoming an asset to our larger community.

Call to Love, based on our commitment to improve lives of orphans, displaced and abandoned children, we decided to do this year’s outing at the Kuramo Beach.

The purpose of this outing is to relate with these children in a fun and loving way in order to get to know them, how they became residents of the beach, discover their in-built abilities and talents; and gradually work towards breaking them out of their current cycle. we appreciate the support of Call to Love well wishers and partnering homes (Street Child Care & Initiative- A home in Yaba for Street Children), they made the outing possible.

The beach outing took place on the 2nd of July 2011 and the children had fun playing games- dancing competition, football competition and even quiz competition. Its amazing the kind of potentials these children have hidden in them due to the circumstance that surrounds them; potentials that gradually erodes away if they are not rescued from the street.

The Journey continues, as Call to Love continues to relate with some of these kids, gather adequate information about them and eventually get them off the beach to a home where they are encouraged to discover their potentials and shine their true colours.

RESTORED THE LEKKI HOMES DORMITORY FLOOR.
2013

Hey...the dormitory floor of the Lekki Motherless Babies home has been restored. We simply sand filled, concrete and constructed a drainage channel. Hence, the floor no longer accumulates water nor breed mosquitoes.

The matron-in-charge and the children of the home warmly extend their gratitude and prayers for this initiative.

We are glad to have been able to make a difference.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE WITH MUSIC TO BRING OUT 'TRUE COLOURS'.
2014

Call2Luv is M.A.D. with Music! We believe in empowering kids through other means apart from formal education, and engaging with them in ways that can enable them achieve their true potential.
To this end, we are launching our new programme, “True Colours” to introduce children to music and its benefits. As with our other initiatives, we believe this programme will expose the kids to a wealth of opportunities and bring out their true colours. Yes, Call2Luv is making a difference (M.A.D.) with music and we hope to influence as many children as possible!Music education is more than introducing children to beats, notes and songs. Instead, it completely transforms a child’s mind and opens up endless possibilities to their learning potential. We identified several benefits of introducing children to the world of music including brain development, increase in spatial intelligence, memory retention, discipline, hard work and dedication, personal development, creativity and so much more!
